Simple ideas, execute brilliantly

I have a knack for picking complex ideas and executing them poorly. Often, the vision is so ambiguous that it barely qualifies as a goal. It is more of an unfulfilled desire.

Take “make some money.” How much? Enough to feel comfortable. By when? As soon as possible, preferably before the year ends. Those answers leave me without a clear target or a useful deadline.

Writing this down makes the problem obvious: the direction needs work before I can judge the idea. A simpler idea with a clear goal would give me something concrete to execute and a way to judge the result.
