# Who needs 50MB query results from D1

*1 November 2026 · Cloudflare, SQLite, Performance*

Who? I mean, who is querying a 50MB response size on a DB that's limited to 10GB hard-capped.

How? I mean, how can you query so much data in a single query, and what's the real-world use case? How would you deliver the result to, say, a dashboard, knowing you can't do it for a customer-facing API.

Why? I mean, why would anybody do this, and do they understand the levels of joins or read counts it would cost? The dollar value will be simply too high.

Generally curious.

> D1 will enforce a 50 MB limit on query results starting November 4, 2026. Optimize your queries to select only needed columns and paginate results to stay under the limit.
