Luck Razor #1: Visiting Universo Ferrari in Delhi

Red Ferrari exhibition entrance with a prancing horse emblem, reception desk, turnstiles, and people in the lobby.

I had two options: stay home and wait for my friends to be free, or go to the Ferrari event in Delhi on my own.

They were busy. I wanted to go.

I’ve been a Ferrari fan since childhood, when I used to watch Michael Schumacher race. So visiting Universo Ferrari at Yashobhoomi is a chance to follow an interest that has been with me for years. I decided to go rather than wait for everyone’s schedules to line up. As I write this, I’m on my way.

It’s a small decision, but it gives me a starting point for what I mean by Luck Razor.

When I stay home, I have a fairly good idea of how the day will go. Going somewhere because I’m curious opens up more possibilities. I might discover something, have a conversation, or come away with an idea I wouldn’t have had otherwise.

There’s another part to this: sharing it.

I’m talking about the visit on my social page. That lets people see an interest they might not have known I had. Someone who knows me through my work can now also know that I’m into cars and that Ferrari has been part of that interest since I was a kid.

Maybe someone responds because they grew up watching Schumacher too. Maybe a friend thinks of me the next time there’s a car event. Maybe nothing comes from the post beyond a few conversations. Those are possibilities, not things I can claim have happened.

But making the interest visible gives people a reason to connect over it.

That’s the idea I want to explore here. My choices affect what chance has to work with. Where I go, what I try, and what I share can all create openings whose outcomes I can’t predict.

I’m going because I want to be there. Any conversation or opportunity that follows would be something extra.

For this first entry, the choice is simple: my friends are busy, and I’m going anyway.
